Delete your account

Sidecar is operated by Sebastien Mock, sole trader, Australia. You can delete your Sidecar account and its associated personal data at any time, using either method below.
Delete your account in the app
- Open the Sidecar app.
- Tap the ⚙️ Settings gear at the top of the screen.
- Scroll to Delete account and tap it.
- Confirm. Your account and personal data are deleted immediately.
If you no longer have the app installed
Email [email protected] from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will verify the request and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- your profile — display name and email address;
- all content tied to your account — events, birthdays, work shifts, shopping items, and to-do lists;
- any photos and files you attached to events.
If you share a household with others, your personal content is removed from the household. The other members keep their own copies of events that were shared with them, and your departure does not delete their data.
What is kept, and for how long
Your data is removed from our active systems immediately. Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for up to 90 days, after which they are automatically overwritten. We do not retain your personal data for any other purpose after deletion.
